I’m 41 years old and my current girlfriend is 24 years old (It’s definitely possible for you too).

Most men prefer to date girls between the ages of 18 and 25. This is just a fact of life, whether it’s socially acceptable or not, most men (not all) are attracted to women when they are at their most fertile.

Sure, some men have weird fetishes and others would never admit their desire for younger women because it may well be socially unacceptable to date a girl more than 7 years younger than yourself.

But the fact still remains, whenever I have asked a guy in private about what age of girls he finds attractive, it’s always around the 21 year old mark.

The problem for most men is, they can be far too focussed on building a career, education and wealth in their 20’s and early 30’s. So, by time a man is ready to find a girlfriend or wife, he’s often in a situation where he feels too old for the type of girl he desires.

But I’d like to give all those men out there some hope and stress to them NOT to settle for second best. You are more valuable than you may think.

What Age Gap Is Acceptable For A Relationship?

The most famous age gap calculation is the ”half your age plus 7”. This was popularised back in the 1950’s by Patty O’Neill, in the 1953 movie “The Moon Is Blue”.

Let’s say you are a 40 year old man, that means her ideal age would be 27 years old. But lately, women have become less ”traditional” which means less likely to want a serious relationship until they hit the wall around 30 years old. So, we find that the majority of serious relationships have less of an age gap.

This is lowering men’s enjoyment in relationships too, which is quite obvious to see amongst the new manosphere of angry men joining up to mgtow, black pill and red pill communities. But I’d argue that men can still beat the odds with cold approach skills, some will disagree, but I’ll stand by my statement.

This is America in 2017, what’s the age difference between married couples. As you can see from the statistics above, the bell curve is around 1 to 3 years difference in age.

When you take into account the fact that women in America are choosing to get married later in life. This means that the majority of men in the bell curve are losing out big time.

Girl Dates a Guy 20 Years Older And Enjoyed It

While doing some research for this post, I came across a post on Vogue, where this girl told her story about dating a 45 year old guy when she was 25. That’s right a huge 20 years age gap and she was happy. He was into BDSM at the same time she was, it sounded by the vibe of her post, that she was happy with him.

Her only issues were that he wanted to get up early to buy healthy food at the local market, while she wanted to take horse tranquiliser and lay down on the foot path.

Yeah, she doesn’t sound like the type of girl you’ll introduce to your mother, but hey, many girls are like that these days. That’s why men are travelling to more traditional countries to find serious girlfriends.

Why Women Date Older Men?

Women tend to mature faster than men, well that’s what people say. There are so many other factors, like he has more money to take her to fancy places, he should have a nice car etc. But there’s something more to it than that, I found another article in Glamour.

This girl told her story about dating a guy who was 10 years older and she only had good things to say about him. At the end of the article, she admitted that it ended mainly because of her self belief that she needs to date someone more her own age.

The age gap issue is only really a social construct. That pressures girls into dating guys closer to their age and it really depends on whether the girl is a strong independent woman or scared of what others think. If you pick a strong minded/independent girl, then the age gap shouldn’t be an issue.

After ending her relationship with the older guy, she did the usual trick of turning to online dating, where women have an unfair advantage. Her new dating profile was set to men between 1 and five years older than herself. I feel sorry for the guys she ends up dating or marrying.
