You can use all the latest filters available to make your pictures look out of this world, but what matters the most is what’s inside, the real YOU. However cliché this might sound, it has never been more true than it is now; when everyone’s coming out of the isolation slump, from the Coronavirus pandemic.

First Impressions Count

Let’s face up to it, not everyone can be as good-looking as Chris Hemsworth or Brad Pitt; but everyone can choose to look attractive by making themselves more presentable. You need to take care of your hygiene, what you wear and how you carry yourself. Keep yourself well-groomed at all times, and keep that smile on your face because being presentable is a lifestyle and not just a one-off thing.

Smell Good

Why should you smell good? It should not be even a question though, but yes for the curious minds out there, researchers from the Monell Chemical Senses Center conducted a study which concluded that smelling nice boosts perceptions of physical attractiveness.

Your scent leaves a marker in the next person’s subconscious mind that triggers memories and results in longer lasting emotional connections. So make sure to up your cologne game; after all, it is what separates a mere man from the gentleman.

Have a great sense of humor 

Having a great sense of humor can lead you right into someone’s heart as it shows the other person that you are more approachable.

In a study “Sexual Selection and Humor in Courtship: A Case for Warmth and Extroversion”, it was shown that when a woman laughs more it is more likely she is interested in the other individual. 

By creating a more enjoyable environment a man can be seen as more appealing. The habit of making people smile can go a long way in front of women.

Women also seem to be attracted towards men who often carry a more “happy” facial expression. Just flashing a grin in your dating profile increases the chances of someone swiping right on your profile by 14%!

Confidence

Aside from making the other person laugh, one should always present themselves confidently. Being confident shows that you have no stress and you’re more dependable person. Holding your chin up with confidence can do you wonders in the dating world.

Sometimes playing hard to get makes the woman more turned on and makes her more curious to solve your puzzle. But always remember there is a fine, fine line between being confident and being overconfident, so make sure you don’t overdo it!

Shhh… Just Listen 

Everyone loves a good listener period! Another great way to make yourself more desirable is to be a good listener.

When the other individual is speaking, listen with interest, don’t just brush them off. A study from the journal The Science of Nature, reinforced this notion that a good listener is indeed deemed very attractive among women. 

If she shares a problem with you, listen to it through and through and don’t jump to conclusions or try to advise/fix the problem right away. In fact support and back your partner to get things resolved her way; this will go a long way in building a sense of trust and confidence in your partner.

Entourage 

In addition to making her laugh and being a good listener, a man can increase their charm amongst women by traveling with an entourage. A study found that people traveling with an entourage were consistently seen as better looking than those who lone wolfed it. So, next time you go out, try remember to bring a pick up wingman or two.

DROP the Pick-up Lines!

You heard that right! just let go of those century old cheesy pick-up lines. A research from SUNY-New Paltz revealed that women preferred men who approached them normally more over the ones that used pick-up lines. So the next time you’re going out, better leave that pick-up lines book locked up in a drawer at home.

So you’ve managed to hold back the impulse to hit them hard with a cheesy pick-up line, next step; go easy on them. Patience is a virtue and it couldn’t have been truer when it comes down to dating advice.

Others are not compelled to respond to you on your wish. If you are trying to go too fast you might just end up running the red light, so remember: Speed thrills but kills 😉

Set Aside the Razor 

Growing a beard can also increase your desirability among the ladies. It’s the most important thing you could do to make yourself more attractive because in a study from the UNSW; found that women perceive men with a heavy stubble more sexy. So men let it grow; but yeah keep it well groomed, trust me you don’t want to end up looking like a caveman.

Show your scars

Furthermore a man can enhance their appearance by letting their scars show. Women nowadays find scars on men highly attractive. We’re just not making this up, in fact research from the University of Liverpool and the University of Stirling showed that women found scars more desirable. So stop covering up your scars, instead wear them proudly.

Eat more garlic….seriously 

As crazy as it may sound, eating garlic can be beneficial in increasing your likeability among women. We know, you might be thinking that wouldn’t the smell of garlic turn someone off.

You’re wrong my friend, well at least according to a study from Charles University and the Institute of Mental Health showed that women found men who ate garlic are more pleasing than those who didn’t.

Remember Samuel L. Jackson’s words from the movie Shaft; “It’s my duty to please the booty!”, so men start chowing down on those garlic knots.
