The measurement of how much eye contact is an interesting topic that I’d like to explore with you today. Keep in mind, even the greatest eye contact in the world, can backfire under many circumstances.
Depending on the type of girl, her cultural background, how outgoing she is etc, this all needs to be taken into account when measuring the amount of eye contact to use.
For example, on average, a south American girl would feel far more comfortable with strong eye contact than a girl from east Asia. Just on average, this broad generalisation does pan out well with a large enough sample size.
The goal of good eye contact, is to show that you are not afraid of her, plus trying to show her what you’re thinking. You see, when a girl can look you in the eye’s, she feels like she knows you slightly better, which is an easy way to build an emotional connection.
On the total other end of the spectrum, is not giving enough eye contact, this will make her think that you are untrustworthy, maybe even weird.
So, finding a nice sweet spot for the amount of eye contact you have, is important when building an emotional connection with a girl. Let’s go though a few of the basics below. But before we get into it, please remember that I’ve got a list of my best posts here for you to try out afterwards.

What Do You Do When a Girl Stares at You
How Can You Make Good Eye Contact with a Girl? Suppose you are a shy guy who has a hard time expressing his feelings and flirting with women.
It all starts with eye contact, which is an important flirting technique. It is subtle yet expressive of purpose while at the same time creating an attraction with a woman.
If you are a shy guy who wants to know how to make good eye contact with a girl, then as a dating coach, I am here to guide you.
Practice Making Eye ContactAll you must do is start practicing eye contact. It’s a skill, just like practicing how to play the guitar. You will notice that over time you get better and better the more you practice the guitar.
So, the question is, how do you practice eye contact?
Well, I can tell you some simple steps that will help you:
- Start with yourself.
- Look at yourself in the eyes, in the mirror for at least 10-15 seconds every day to practice looking into eyes.
- After practicing this in the mirror for a couple of days on yourself, take a walk and start to practice on other people.
- When you stop at the grocery store or any market, look at the cashier, look them in the eye for at least a few seconds, and then ask them how they are doing.
- While walking down the street, hallway, or shopping center, look at the people you’re passing by and try to make eye contact with a few people.
- You can even follow it up with a polite gesture.
Give a Warm and Friendly Vibe
Now, it’s not just eye contact with a girl that matters. What matters is how you make that eye contact. If done wrong, it can look intimidating. This may simply make her feel uncomfortable.
So, you should also show a warm and friendly atmosphere. And the best way to do this is to smile with your eyes.
This friendly atmosphere is the type of eye contact that attracts women. It is the focused and intense gaze that makes a woman uncomfortable.
However, the soft, warm, and open look that comes when you smile with your eyes is much more friendly and inviting. So, being friendly is a more effective way to attract the girl you like.
Don’t Stare at Her Like a Creep
Staring at people is rude and makes them very uncomfortable, too. She may be uninterested or preoccupied if your eyes don’t meet, and worst of all, she may be annoyed when you stare at her.
Remember that a lot of eye contact can be intimidating. Instead of staring at her, try to read her facial expressions. Although this is highly subjective and by no means a perfect science, do your best to explain the expressions you make.
A smile may indicate interest, and blinking eyes can indicate interest as well.
Hold Relaxed and Strong Eye Contact
Here I can suggest to you some of the tips to hold relaxed eye contact.
- Start by taking a deep breath, look at her and allow her to be the first to break eye contact. Don’t look away before she does, as this will indicate that you are interested in talking to her.
- The longer she makes eye contact with you, the more likely she will be interested in talking to you.
- Generally, continue to look in her direction for another second or two after your eyes meet.
- Make eye contact with her again and smile if she looks back at you.
- Looking back at her may be a sign that she is interested in meeting or talking to you.
- You must be relaxed. Eye contact with people you don’t know can be very confusing, but you should do your best to maintain a calm demeanor.
- The girl you want to make eye contact with can also be nervous, so you might be able to give her some relief if you keep calm.
- Try to smile when you look at her, but don’t exaggerate so as not to scare her. Read her expressions, did her cheeks blush when she saw you looking at her? This is a pretty sure sign that she likes you, but don’t overreact. Perhaps she blushed because of your looks at her.
- Finally, remember to never exaggerate what you’re doing. Unwanted attention might embarrass you and make her think you’re weird.
Strong and relaxed eye contact is important when it comes to any girl. The main reason we are afraid to make eye contact with a girl is not because we are looking at her, but because she will be able to see who we are. Be confident in yourself and remember to smile.
