I’m sitting here analysing Daygame infields from dating coaches that I find on Youtube, then posting them into my Facebook group for my members to see who’s got good game and who does not. I started to notice that some Daygame infields seemed to be fake.
- Does the daygame infield feel authentic
- Was the girl too compliant?
- Did it seem like they knew each other already?
- Filming people without their consent can have legal consequences
- Is the cameraman too exposed and obvious?
- Is the footage too smooth?
- Did the result seem too outrageous to be real?
- Previous examples of fake infields
- Your experience, will determine your ability to spot a fake infield
- Why Someone Would Fake An Infield?
Fake infields are frustrating for anyone out there who is trying to get better at picking up girls and wants to see authentic cold approaches.
Fake Daygame infields give the entire dating industry a bad reputation and only spread misinformation to the very people we are trying to help.
I get it, anyone can call an infield fake and unless definitive proof was presented, no one will ever know, one way or another. But I’d argue that with the basic rules below, most people should have the ability to figure out if an infield is fake or not.
I’ve also got some credentials when it comes to filming pranks for friends of mine who are now famous influencers. One has 6 million followers in FB and another just hit 11 million followers, which means, I’ve been behind the scenes and have some inside knowledge on how difficult filming in public can be.
Here is what a proper pick up session looks like. In this epic post, I explain how much effort went into getting laid when I was travelling abroad.
Filming Someone Can Have Legal Consequences
Think about it this way, if it’s a fake infield, then it doesn’t matter if the girl or the general public sees the cameraman. It becomes a movie script with actors, nothing more. This give the cameraman so much freedom to capture the perfect angle, just like watching your favourite sitcom.
- The girl spots the camera
- The general public spots the camera
The reality of filming infields is very different, if the girl or the general public see the camera, there are many consequences.
If the girl finds out that she’s being filmed, then the daygame infield is ruined, you can rarely continue under these circumstances. Depending on what country or mood she’s in, the aftermath could be comical or she could call the police.
All this depends on the laws in the country you are filming, combined with the personality of the girl.
What if the general public spot the cameraman and choose to interrupt what’s happening? Filming random girls in public is frowned upon in most countries, and from my experience, men can be triggered into becoming white knights over the smallest of things sometimes.
Therefore the general public are also a threat to the filming of daygame infields too.
Is the Girls Body Language Natural?
In the latest infield that I was breaking down and analysing, I noticed that the girl’s body language was unnatural. She seemed to be instructed to face away from the camera at all times.
It seemed to me that she was deliberately avoiding making any movements towards the camera, even when she had good reason to move her head in that direction. She had also, covered the right side of her face with hair, it was very un-natural.
Is she too agreeable?
Another commonality amongst most fake infields, is that the girl stops and has 100% of her focus on the guy. For every guy out there who’s done cold approach Daygame before, you would know that ”hooking” is one of the most difficult things to do.
You can make many approaches all day and only a small fraction of the girls will stop to talk with you. So, I’d argue that an infield with a girl who’s hooked before he’s done anything, is more likely to be a paid actress.
Was The Cold Approach Natural?
Was the daygame infield natural of did they seem to be a little awkward. The fake infields that I’ve seen, they seem to be talking over each other in an overly friendly manner, as if they know someone is watching.
Keep in mind, both of the people in this ”faked” infield, need to put on a good show for the audience. So, they are trying their best to please each other and avoid insulting each other at all costs.
Imagine two virgins on a first date, they are so nervous, both are on edge, trying their best to leave a good impression. Their movements are robotic and stiff.
The ”fraud PUA” may use the classic acting trick of chewing gum, leaning back in order to look cool, he may even slow down his speech. These are all ways to cover up a fake infield.
Would The General Public See The Camera?
Where is the cameraman standing? Is he just standing in a location that’s exposed to everyone, as if he doesn’t care? If everyone can see him, then he could have a well hidden camera, fair enough.
Okay then, does the cameraman have a good reason to be standing in the middle of no where facing a couple talking? Imagine you are the guy holding the camera, would you be nervous standing where he is, knowing all the risks involved.
Is the Footage too Smooth?
When a cameraman has to zoom in, point the camera in a specific location, while pretending to be doing something else. He’ll often shake the camera around a little and miss parts of the interaction.
This is normal.
When the footage is too smooth and seems just a little too perfect to be true… It most probably isn’t. There’s a good chance that it’s fake.
Experienced Daygamers Can Sometimes Spot Fake Infields
I’d say that an experienced gamer would have a higher probability of spotting a fake infield. Not always though, sometimes. If a guy has done thousands of cold approaches over the course of many years, from his own experience, he should get a feeling that something’s not right when watching a fake infield.
Not all, but most girls tend to behave in certain ways when approached by guys and you can only know what that looks like when you make cold approach a lifestyle.
Tom Torero Fake Infield
There’s a more in detail analysis about Tom Torero from Nick Krauser here. Krauser is known as one of the most authentic Daygamers in the industry and I like to refer to him as one of the godfathers. So, his analysis should be taken seriously.
Why Do They Fake Daygame Infields?
- Fear of getting caught filming real infields
- Lazy
- Bad game in general
Daygame infields have many risks associated with filming them, mostly to do with consent. This makes it difficult to capture a good infield, while keeping the cameraman safe.
Too lazy : Filming infields can take many full days of hard work, 100’s of approaches, tech problems (battery, memory, poor camera work etc). Only after gathering many infields, do they choose the best footage for their channels.
Bad Game : The most obvious one is that their game sucks. This is usually the go to reason people accuse them of faking infields, but I’d argue that all the other reasons have validity to them too.
